Greetings and welcome to my page!

I am a board certified psychiatric nurse practitioner and have been providing services in the Seattle area since graduating from Yale University in 2012. I received my bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Puget Sound in 2004 and a master’s degree in forensic psychology from John Jay College in 2007. Prior to attending nursing school I worked in the non-profit sector conducting oversight of Medicaid programs in New York state. This work sparked an interest in the delivery of healthcare and healthcare disparities, motivating me to return to school so that I could provide direct patient care. After graduating from nursing school I relocated to Seattle and feel very fortunate to be living in the Pacific Northwest. I am a native southern Californian that could never stand the heat and feel right at home with rainy, overcast weather.

I have worked in public health for the entirety of my nurse practitioner career, including at local organizations such as DESC, Neighborcare, Catholic Community Services and Sea Mar. At these organizations I provided crisis services to homeless individuals, acted as a consultant to primary care providers and provided supervision and mentorship to nurse practitioner students and new grads. In addition to my private practice I work at a correctional facility where I treat mentally ill inmates. These individuals often have limited outpatient care and oftentimes are receiving psychiatric care for the first time in many years. My specialties include mood disorders, anxiety disorders, treatment resistant depression and psychosis. I am also interested in the role of psychedelics in treating mental illness and offer ketamine therapy in my practice. In my free time I enjoy gardening, the inevitable Netflix rabbit hole, true crime podcasts and cuddling with my cat Lola. I also enjoy travelling and hearing about others’ adventures around the world.

If we decide to work together, my primary goal will be establishing a therapeutic relationship with you that is built on trust and transparency. I realize that it takes a lot to decide to get help and that past experiences may make it hard to open yourself up again. In addition to prescribing medication, I utilize mindfulness strategies and a solutions oriented approach. Together we will make a treatment plan that works for you and your unique needs.

If you are interested in scheduling an appointment, please call or send me an email. I require a phone consult first so please make sure you leave a good contact number for yourself. Please check out my services and resources page for more information about what to expect when you come in. I look forward to working with you!
